Gravit might not work properly on more recent operating systems, such as Mac OS X Mavericks, but we have not encountered issues on a Mac running Mac OS X Snow Leopard. To use Gravit, you need an architecture that includes Apple’s X11 or, its official replacement, XQuartz (make sure you always have the latest version installed). The application is rendering particle to particle calculations. Gravit is an open source simulator application that enables you to create different universes and experiment by adjusting certain parameters. The Barnes-Hut n-body Algorithm can be used to generate gravity simulations, but it is not so easy to predict how exactly will a body react to different environmental changes.
